how could i forget...the whole bush-in-cincinnati thing...i wish i would have gone down to the antiwar protest in a way..i saw a few people i know on the news holding signs and things. i held a sign at the nader rally outside madison square garden in 2000...and everyone was chanting 'bush and gore are corporate whores!' and it was wonderful to have that piece of stick in my hand. we took the signs home with us and propped them against the wall...eventually, though, they were tossed out. i still wear the little green nader button on my bag, though...reminds me of a night when i felt optimistic, involved, and wonderful.

i feel so FRANTIC lately...so much to do..and i have MORE graphics to work on tonite...i was up till 2am last night getting all that i could finished, and of course theres MORE. apparently im not needed for store hours in hyde park anymore, but she wants me to do the graphics stuff for her and maybe her website...egads. the amount of work is frightening. i feel like im working all the time and just going home and watching game show network. it feels so regular midwest america. i wonder if thats a bad thing. im wondering a lot at the moment...
i wonder how my life will change in a year and whether or not ill still be living here...hopefully ill get to nyc fairly soon after im finished with thesis.

i have another job...additional job that is...now ill be working 6 days a week, and saturdays will be at this shoppe in hyde park that carries sort of avant garde textile pieces and middle aged rich women fashion forward clothes...but she wants to adjust her image to something younger and sexier...and wants my help in that department! plus ill be doing a bunch of graphics work...whee! im not thrilled about weekend work but...oh well. the actual job will be good!

and in the tenth month on the second day the boss decreed that all will arrive in a uniform fashion at 0800 and life as we know it would cease...
this is how getting up for work by 7 makes me feel. egads. ill have to get used to this new pattern...apparently the big bank boss above our bank boss decided that would be a good idea. and obviously we'll be more productive when more sleep deprived...oh no the first hour wont be spent milling around, griping, drinking coffee and caffeinated sodas and things...oh no...we'll get right on that. i dont have a lot to gripe about when it comes to my job, but im NOT a morning person and this will be a challenge to say the very least!
i did put nightmare before christmas wallpaper on my computer though. i need some holidays to get me outta this PMS rut. and speaking of that...i need to figure out what im going to be for halloween!!!

why is it that every time i talk to my mother online she asks me if im getting fat and talks about how i should wax my upper lip...wtf? i just had it waxed a month ago and im not exactly a hairy beast yet! i just cant afford it every other damned week! god. drives me fucking nuts...and she expects me to have a decent body image HOW? not like im not PMSing and bloaty and my boobs feel like melons anyway or anything...geezus. bad fucking timing MOM!!!! suck it! SUCK ME RAW!
i think i have some extra pent up frustration because i drove around for 10 minutes around UC trying to find parking- NOTHING...and i see a bunch of parents and little siblings milling about im guessing its a parents nite...gross. i had to park in the garage and i have no cash so i have to use my card and THEN come to find i have to REREGISTER for a computer password and name...and it takes 3 days to process...and no they cant temporarily log me in, and yes all the other computer labs with photoshop have classes in them so i cant use them and it makes me want to just barf red puke over a railing or something... there is NOTHING like computer issues and PMS and no cash issues to make you EXTREMELY IRATE!!!!!

too many rock n roll songs are about heartbreak. she done me wrong. im crying and screaming and rolling around and strung out or whatever...i wonder why there arent more happy rock songs. (not to say there arent ANY but...) the ones that are classic and gritty and biting and great are all about masturbation, breakups, revenge and cars. people said it was the devils music because it wasnt 'happy' or satisfied...i think if you can write a happy rockin song, then youve really done something. and it speaks a lot because to write a truly great happy song, i think you have to have been truly happy at some point in yr life...and if youre truly happy at some point in your life, then THAT is impressive and rock n roll and THEN you should grab yr mic, guitar and a beer and do it.

a lovely weekend...had lunch with frye, who i havent seen in months...caught up on her trip to europe and the summer over clam chowder and cigarettes at uno's...watched alias for the first time. the hair rocks. the hair just ROCKS. lots of sweet downtime, and to top it all off, graeter's pumpkin cookies. mmmm.

its friday its friday! i have no idea what to do with my weekend because it sounds like theres a lot going on...as for today at work, we've been printing out hello kitty pictures from the net and putting them on our walls...i printed a little dame darcy cartoon as well...such is office life. even though its getting comfortable, i cant wait until im not an officebitch anymore. i want to do what it is ive studied to do...although im happy in a way to be learning about banking because if i open my own business or start up a magazine, knowledge of loans and that sort of thing will be useful...
i wonder how this whole music festival thing will work out...i might like to see the ass ponys again tonight...although i could care less about the smithereens dude whos playing tomorrow night. hmmm. and im trying not to spend TOO much money this weekend...im in a shopping phase, and im guessing itll last about another week...then my shopping for fall will be overwith!!
the guy on CSI last night died because of eating chocolates and ingesting eyedrops. i guess you can die of just about anything!

i might have another job offer...with something actually pertinent to what im supposed to be devoting my lifes work to...its a marketing/advertising position for a local luxury textile/clothing company. it sounds really interesting, but unless they can pay more than my salary here, i dont know if ill end up with it. at least match my salary. im worth it i promise!
the midpoint music festival is here in cinci this week...it seems to have just creeped up without my noticing...to be honest im really not very impressed with the lineup overall, but it IS the first year. and elf power are playing tonite. i really love hteir live show, so maybe ill hit that later on tonite.
still nesting, still burning candles in my room...one wall is completely bare though- waiting on my desk and computer...and for that to happen, im waiting on my landlords to fix my phone jack. so lets keep fingers crossed that it all goes well.
was listening to the first saint low album last night, and it fits in perfectly with the whole candle/ambiance thing. im enjoying it. and i think my feng shui kitties are enjoying the room as well...i should check out a digital camera from the photo lab and take some pics of the new place. yes.

complacency makes you silent sometimes. maybe not having to say a lot all the time is a good thing??
